Da war ein Licht am Anfang der Welt,
ein Strahl, der die dunkelste Nacht erhellt,
der in die finsterste Ecke fällt,
das war das Licht am Anfang der Welt.
Am Anfang der Welt war da ein Klang,
schöner als jeder Engelsgesang.
Ein Licht, ein Licht, das uns jetzt fehlt,
das war und ist am Anfang der Welt.
Da war ein Wort am Anfang der Welt,
ein Wort, das die dunkelste Nacht erhellt.
Das Wort war Liebe war das Wort,
und das ist der Schlüssel zum großen Tor.
Am Anfang der Welt war da ein Licht,
ein Licht, das das dunkelste Dunkel bricht,
ein Blitz, ein Strahl, ein Wort, ein Klang,
das Licht, das Licht, mit dem alles begann.
Und jetzt ist ein Irrlicht da.
Wir sind verwirrt und seh'n nicht mehr klar.
Was ist gelogen und was ist wahr?
Die ganze Welt ist in Gefahr.
Und das Irrlicht leuchtet und leuchtet hell.
Wer hat dieses Licht dahin gestellt?
Wer sieht noch das Licht, das uns jetzt fehlt?
Das war und ist am Anfang der Welt.
